The Town Council are responsible
for:
1. Managing the Corn Exchange. This is a large
function hall located in the town centre which is available for
meetings, charity events, private parties and wedding receptions. The hall is equipped with
a large kitchen and fully stocked bar. The fire limit of this facility
is 200. Please contact the Town Clerk’s office for availability
and hire charges.
2. Open Spaces:
(a) Oakwood Park, Ash Close Faringdon
A small open space with play equipment suitable for small children.
(b) Tucker Park, Park Road, Faringdon
A large recreation ground which accommodates the Faringdon Town
Football Club pavilion and Faringdon Judo Club hall. There is also
a small play area with equipment suitable for small children.
(c) Land adjacent to Willes Close, Faringdon
This area is currently awaiting development proposals.
(d) All Saints Churchyard
(e) Highworth Road Layby, Highworth Road, Faringdon
(f) The Elms Tennis Court
This is located within the Faringdon Junior School playing field.

3. Faringdon War Memorial/Old Town
Hall
The Council are sole trustee of this town centre building, which
is available for small meetings. The fire limit of this building
is 50. Please contact the Town Clerk’s office for availability
and hire charges.
4. The Pump House, Market Place,
Faringdon.
This Georgian Grade II listed building is located in the town centre.
VENUES & MEETING ROOMS
AVAILABLE FOR HIRE IN FARINGDON
Faringdon Town Council operates several venues and meeting rooms in Faringdon that are available for hire, details as follows:
The Corn Exchange, Faringdon
Situated on the corner of Gloucester and Marlborough Streets, this beautifully proportioned hall with a superb vaulted ceiling, is ideally suited for a variety of social functions. Bar facilities are available and the venue is licensed to hold up to 200 people. There is a large kitchen offering full catering facilities.
The Old Town Hall
Situated in the Market Place, Faringdon, this building is licensed to hold up to a maximum of 50 people and has its own self-contained kitchen. It is ideal for meetings, as well as having lighting particularly suitable for art exhibitions.
The Pump House, The Market Place, Faringdon
This recently renovated building, also located in the Market Place, Faringdon, has several rooms that are available for meetings and small functions. Activities such as karate, yoga, martial arts, craft clubs take place in the building on a regular basis. There is a small kitchen available.
Facilities for the disabled are also provided in all the Town Council administered venues.
